FED: Dumped rubbish, unusable donations costs Salvos $6m plus

The Salvos say this year's clean-up bill will top six million dollars .. with tonnes
of unusable donations and rubbish dumped outside their stores over the Christmas holidays.

General manager NEVILLE BARRETT says it's absolutely disgusting they have to use the
funds getting rid of junk .. when that money could be so well used.

He says the Salvation Army appreciates donations of good quality items .. and people
should only donate furniture .. clothing ot other goods they'd continue to use themselves.
