ALBANY - One of the three youths charged in Friday's massive Central Avenue fire pleaded guilty Monday to fourth-degree arson and will serve time in a secure youth detention facility.
The older of two brothers, aged 13 and 10, answered second-degree arson and reckless endangerment charges before Albany County Family Court Judge Gerard Maney on Monday.
Dwarfed by donated oversized jeans, a black T-shirt and shackles, the older boy shielded two black eyes as he sobbed into a towel.
His attorney, William Foley, said the plea deal - which lowered the charges from pure intent to recklessness - adequately …
