The fines for drivers who violate some no-parking laws in Albany will increase to $25 per ticket under the provisions of an ordinance approved unanimously by the Albany Common Council Monday night.
According to the ordinance, fines for these tickets will increase from $15 to $25: no parking, emergency no-parking, alternate-side-of-th e-street parking, parking in a space reserved for handicapped people and blocking a driveway.
These changes were recommended by the Albany Police Department's Traffic Safety Division, whose officers reported having the biggest problems getting people to obey these regulations. …
