SA: Parenting groups granted almost $1 million in SA

Organisations with a focus on parenting and children have been allocated grants worth
almost $1 million by the South Australian government.

Health Minister LEA STEVENS says three groups - the Hope for the Children Foundation,
Kidsafe SA, and Good Beginnings Australia - will receive a total of $900,000 over five
years.

Another 117 grants totalling $90,000 would be put towards community based activities,
such as parent support groups, parenting education sessions, educational toys and first
aid courses for parents.
